Relational Cartography: Every Map of the Azores is a Lie

Almost every map of the Azores you ever saw is a lie. In order to get the whole archipelago to fit in a way that each island is big enough to see the cities and etc in a single image, the maps eliminate the ocean in between the three island groups. I made this map to bring home the expanse of the islands among the archipelago and also relative to Portugal. The Azores span from New Bedford to Washington DC!
